The Simuliidae is a biting black fly. It is also commonly
called a "buffalo gnat".

It's size is generally less than 1/8th of an inch long. They are
different from the common house fly, horsefly, stable fly,
sand fly, etc., in their appearance.

They generally are encountered near creeks and rivers where
their larvae attach to submerged stones. They are hatched out
in running water.

Spraying for black flies is exactly the same procedure as
spraying for mosquitoes. Please read the How To Apply
page for more information on how to apply our product.

Our product is not effective against the common house fly.
